Oh my gosh, I just made a (TERRIBLE) pun from the Eye of Horus. Is that the worst thing I've ever done? It is, right? Forgive me for the indignity, ancient beings of Egypt.

Super quick outfit snaps from when I was in California over the weekend. Definitely the best picture of my so-called signature clear heeled JC's to date. I love those shoes to death, let it be known. I wore them all day as I traipsed around the Villa Getty museum and had no foot pain regret. If you're in the LA area and haven't been to the Villa Getty, definitely go check it out. If I hadn't done so much other cool stuff, it could easily be the highlight of my trip. Free admission, $15 to park your car.

I told myself I would never buy mirrored sunglasses (especially aviators.) I've made fun of them for so long. I called them the new trucker hats. And now I'm wearing them. What happened?

I know I owe you guys a report of Pageant Day 2, but I'm intimidated by the number of pictures I took and I don't want to overpost. If you missed round one of me inexplicably judging 8 year olds in a Toddlers & Tiaras beauty pageant, you can check it out here. It was so not what I was expecting. (In a good way. The best way.)

In the time between then and now, I've been wearing clothes. I'm obsessed with summer pastels in nontraditional places (ie, leather jackets) and I make no apology for it.

  Brief shoe testimonial -- I love those boots. I have them in three colors. I wear them all day long at work, sometimes standing for 8 hours at a time. I get compliments on them all the time, which was so funny to me at first. I kept telling people, "They're my work shoes! They're comfortable!" Apparently I found the perfect, rare crossover where 'comfortable' and 'stylish' meet and shake hands. If you're looking for a good work boot, try them. They run a bit big -- I'm a size 5 but wear a 5.5 in C Label.
