Oh my gosh, I just made a (TERRIBLE) pun from the Eye of Horus. Is that the worst thing I've ever done? It is, right? Forgive me for the indignity, ancient beings of Egypt.

Super quick outfit snaps from when I was in California over the weekend. Definitely the best picture of my so-called signature clear heeled JC's to date. I love those shoes to death, let it be known. I wore them all day as I traipsed around the Villa Getty museum and had no foot pain regret. If you're in the LA area and haven't been to the Villa Getty, definitely go check it out. If I hadn't done so much other cool stuff, it could easily be the highlight of my trip. Free admission, $15 to park your car.

I was listening to Adam Lambert as I got dressed this morning and I ended up with so much black eyeshadow on. They should consider putting a sticker warning for that on his albums. Parental Advisory: Explicitly Fierce Content. May cause unexpected strutting?

I've been married to this cardigan since I got it a few weeks ago. I had been eyeing it on PLNDR, then I pounced when they had one of their (many!) promo sales.  Giving your personal style some teeth. Cool, right? I was on board at as early as bone reproductions as accessories, but Lady Gaga taught me that it's always good to flash some teeth too.

Karmaloop just started stocking this brand, which is what brought it to my attention. If kpop and Asian fashion isn't all over this brand already, they're going to be. It's Sex Pot Revenge meets Jeremy Scott, edgy macabre with an almost cartoonish approach.

This is what I've been dealing with over here for the last few months. I love this Jack by BB Dakota giant oversized poncho scarf jacket thing. The more mismatched layers I can pile on, the better. I got it for $20 from Karmaloop, but you can probably find something similar in a thrift shop and/or the back of your great aunt's closet.

I hear it's #ThrowbackThursday? Here's my unintentional throwback. I bought these pants about... six or seven years ago, yikes, in my sophomore or junior year of high school. A girl in my math class (who wore Victoria's Secrets velour tracksuits so she could look like she didn't care about what she wore while still totally caring about what she wore) had on pants just like these one day, and they looked so good on her that I had to go buy the same pants. I'm still wearing them however many years later, so no regrets. And I guess they've slid back into style as "oxblood." Sweet.

Maybe there was something to the Victoria's Secret sweatpants after all!

GoJane just wrapped up a dress sale, so I got this cotton dress in a few colors in a whim. So glad I did; I have LIVED in this dress since I took it out the box. It's insanely comfortable and soft and opaque and everything I've ever wanted in life and/or death, short of someone giving me a university diploma without me having to go to class to get it. As far as size, order up -- this is a medium and I'm sure it'll shrink in terror as soon as I bring it near a washer/dryer.

It's fall break! ... Everyone else at work took it off before I realized what was going on, so I work every day! It's cool. I'll take this one for the team. Any suggestions for stay-cation activities?
