Tous les jours, je suis hustlin'. Or in English, errryday I'm hustlin. This dress triggered fond memories of high school French class, so when it went on sale at Urban Outfitters, I made it mine. Did you know that Alouette is actually a fairly violent song about plucking a bird's feathers off its body after lulling it into false safety by calling it gentille? True story.

Quick protip for short girls that like long dresses: don't be afraid to knot the bottom of the dress or skirt! It makes the hem a little more interesting and you won't be tripping over the thing all day. Saving you from tripping over your own clothes since 2012.

what i'm wearing † a clouded fair

one of my dreams is to live in an apartment with exposed brick (i dream big, clearly) so i like to cozy up to brick walls when they're hanging out nearby.

i wear buns like other people wear ponytails, i think -- it's the messy hair day go-to. i'm not sure if this was supposed to be a side-bun day or a top-of-head bun day. it kinda looks like it's just chillin' in the middle. pro tip: buns will do what they want unless lassoed in by a hair donut.

what i'm wearing † think of me as programmable soda

i was in dire need of a haircut so i sat down with a pair of kitchen scissors and took a few inches off my hair. no regrets, and $20+ saved. if i was to have a style maxims, they'd be something like: 1) when in doubt, overdress. 2) diy before you pay to have someone else do it. 3) never ever sleep in makeup oh my gosh do not do it ever do you understand ok NEVERRRRR. 

it's the kind of hot outside right now where you can see the heat rising from the pavement. long days, lots of sunlight, sleep as a series of cat naps. time slows down and gives you all the reason you need to take long walks just because.

since we haven't figured out how to encapsulate that feeling, i'll just listen to "call me maybe" a lot so i can play it later in winter and trick myself into thinking that it's warm outside. i'm totally programmable like that.

•  leather boots, franco sarto  this is a really relaxed, go-to outfit for me. leggings are inexpensive and comfortable, black boots go with everything, and i have enough band tees to wear one every day for weeks.
